How Did I Get Here…again?

This time last year…

  1. I was 25 pounds lighter.
  2. I was running 3-5 miles almost every day.
  3. I was addiction free from soda.
  4. I was addiction free from sugar.
  5. I ate perfectly healthy.
  6. I was looking forward to turning 35 and how physically fit I would be.

Here I am today…

  1. I’ll be 35 years old on the 20th and I feel like a cow.
  2. I am a soda junkee.
  3. I am the Bride of Willy Wonka…again. I really thought we had divorced for good. Apparently, I have fallen back into my addiction. (I’m eating Lemon Drops as I type this!)
  4. My eating habits are worse then ever.
  5. I tore a muscle in my hip and haven’t run in 9 months.
  6. I’ve gained 25 of the 50 I had lost.

Tomorrow, the 8th of September is a new day. I refuse to feel tight clothes around my waist another day. I refuse to buy bigger clothes…so something has to give. I MUST start exercising again. I feel a sense of peace and mental clarity when I lace up my sneakers and head out the door.

I’ve come across a group of girls who are in this same boat. Together we’ll make a change. Together we will encourage and inspire.

I need to make a pact with someone to break my jaw with a 2×4…anybody willing?
